Mrs Gillian Duffy: The Man without a Mandate

Gordon won't be getting my Vote - Or Mine!

Conservative Home reports on the Mail on Sundays article which has assured Mrs Duffy’s pension will be nicely topped up thanks to Gordon Brown’s bigot gaffe: It has this to say:

In tomorrow’s Mail on Sunday (no link yet) the lady slurred by Gordon Brown – Mrs Gillian Duffy – breaks her silence.

She reveals that the Prime Minister calling her

“that woman”

offended her as much as her calling her

bigoted”. “Why couldn’t he have said, “that lady?”,’

she says. She confirms that she ripped up her postal vote and won’t be voting Labour. She also reveals that Mr Brown asked her to appear with him after their private meeting at her home but she declined.

Mr Brown invited her to Downing Street but, without saying it, she thought

I don’t think you’ll be there

very soon. She tells the Mail on Sunday that Mr Brown shouldn’t have succeeded Tony Blair without a mandate.

I was “shot down,” she says by a man I thought was there to support me; “I’m not angry. I’m sad, really.”

And that is what ‘BigotGate’ really revealed. Labour has not been there for some of its most loyal supporters; supporters like Mrs Duffy.

Now Gordon Brown and the Labour Party have had to go back to full out scaremongering, no substance, no policy, no nothing but trying scare the general public. It would be painful to watch if it wasn’t a Government who has nearly destroyed the UK over the past 13 years.

Brown’s Bigot Brownie

Gordon Brown has said he thought a pensioner he called a “bigot” had been talking about “expelling” all foreign university students.

The Labour leader apologised to Gillian Duffy on Wednesday after his off-camera comments were picked up by a live mic.

Mrs Duffy had asked him about immigration and also mentioned student tuition fees, among other subjects.

The BBC’s Jeremy Paxman asked Mr Brown to explain what he meant when he said he had misunderstood her comments.

He said:

“I thought she was talking about expelling all university students from here who were foreigners. I misunderstood it.”

What a feckin liar.

Labour Lies: More Cancer Lies From Labour Exposed – Iain Dale

As Iain says more lies from Labour are exposed:

Remember the GP who emailed me a couple of days ago giving the lie to the disgraceful Labour PEB? Well, he’s been in touch again and he ain’t pleased….

Hi Iain, I have just listened to a repeat of an earlier showing of the Daily Politics (from Wednesday where Andrew Neil asks Ed Balls about the controversial bit of that PEB (ie the emotive bit relating to the two week cancer wait) –and in reply Ed Balls added a few more embellishments.

He claimed that Labour have promised to treat cancer patients within two weeks! (and of course by inference that the nasty Tories won’t and that this will be ‘bad for people’).

This is, of course, a load of cobblers – there is nothing at present which guarantees cancer treatment in two weeks, and as in my earlier email, the Labour policy on the 2 week wait has caused delays in instigating cancer treatment. Also, the Labour Party manifesto doesn’t guarantee cancer treatment in 2 weeks. There is reference to being able to get treatment in 18 weeks, but frankly even our NHS is presently managing to start cancer treatments in 18 weeks given that it would be clinically negligent not to.

I do resent lies being told about the work I try to do and the public being wilfully misled – and by a government minister. I am not a member of any political party – and in the past have voted for all the major parties! But I have to say I agreed with Michael Gove that it was an appalling PEB and was unimpressed with Balls for his refusal to condemn this sort of campaigning, and particularly his embellishing it with blatant (peppa) porkies.

There you have it.

What this really exposes is the statist government we have under Labour. All about stupid “guarantees” that only ensure our NHS is now just a tick-box protocol. If you have ticked the right boxes then all independent thought is removed.

We need to get back to a position where we put some thought into our actions and not just let the state decide what is best for you.

Labour Dishonesty – Labour’s attitude summed up by Drug Advisor Resignations

The Bullying Boots of Gordon Brown

This article neatly sums up Labour’s attitude to Government.

They want to control us by any means possible, they see themselves as the “Bovver” boys of governing, stomping on anything that they don’t agree with to allow control of the public at large and  trying to  make them conform to  their beliefs on how people should live their life’s.

As Polly Taylor, one of the seven advisor’s to have resigned, says in the article:

Last week, on Budget Day, the government published its final version of the Principles. It contains an arbitrary requirement, not in the existing code of practice, that advisers must not “undermine trust“. The scientific community, including scores of members of government advisory committees, had criticised this clause when it appeared in the government document circulated for consultation. But that objection has been ignored. If implemented, the government’s Principles will allow advisers to be fired on the grounds that a minister has decided that they are undermining trust! This is unacceptable.

Expert advice is without value unless it is truly independent. It should not be given to ensure the trust of politicians or to fit the mood of the day’s press.

Read the whole article about why the various members have resigned and wonder why they even bother to pay lip-service to their independent advisors.

Labour under Gordon Brown are  trying to turn this country into a Stalinesque revision of the worst sort.  It is time to give them the boot.

The government’s determination to control its drugs advisors meant I had no choice but to resign | Comment is free | The Observer.

Labour Bigots – Linton apologises for ‘ Israel’s tentacles’ speech

Last week I highlighted the speeches of Martin Linton and Gerald Kaufman who were spreading classic anti-Semitic  lies. Apparently Linton has now apologised in the typical Labour mealy-mouthed manner, the non-apology which tries to obfuscate the fact that he is a liar and a bigot.  In the report in the Jewish Chronicle he has this to say:

Martin Linton, Labour MP for Battersea, founded Labour Friends of Palestine and serves as its chair. He said he was sorry for any offence caused, but was not aware of the anti-Semitic precedents of the image of a Jewish octopus.

As usual I supend  belief as normal when a Labour MP opens his mouth and utters the words not aware etc etc.

Danny Stone, director of the all-Party Parliamentary Group Against Anti-Semitism said:

“It is shameful to see Members of Parliament using classic conspiracy theory language. Both the Labour Party and the Conservative Party have previously indicated to us their intentions to crack down on any and all racist language or behaviour  — I hope we will see swift action taken.”

I note Mr Kaufman has not had anything to say.

I’ll just add the same ending I had on the original article.

Community Security Trust spokesman Mark Gardner said:

“Anybody who understands antisemitism will recognise just how ugly and objectionable these quotes are, with their imagery of Jewish control and money power. Ask the average voter who had made these comments, and they would most likely answer that it was the BNP, not a pair of Labour MPs.”

The Labour party tries to parade itself as inclusive but as always simmering under the surface are the petty bigots and racists.

Labour Lies – Gordon Brown rapped by ONS over Immigration Figures

letter from Sir Michael Scholar, head of the UK Statistics Authority

Oh dear, dear, Gordon Brown has yet again lied to us the public in on one of his little podcasts, perhaps it was only a practice run to see if he could get away with it today when he presented his views on Immigration which I commented upon earlier.

However it appears that quite a number of people noticed and complained as the FactCheck blog explains:

As FactCheck noted on Friday, Gordon Brown quoted figures from two different sets of statistics to back up his claim that net migration – the number of people coming into the country, minus the number of people leaving – is falling. He did not spell out that the figures came from different series – rather like comparing apples and oranges.

The UK Statistics Authority, which monitors the use of official statistics, told us they would look into the podcast on Friday. On Monday, shadow home secretary Chris Grayling also asked the watchdog to request that Brown “clarifies his remarks and undertakes not to mislead the public during the approaching general election campaign”.

Today Sir Michael Scholar, head of the UK Statistics Authority, wrote to the PM to say he had received representations “from several sources” about the podcast.

“I attach a note, prepared by the ONS, on these statistics,” he wrote. “You will see that the note points out that the podcast did not use comparable data series for 2007 to 2009, and that it did not take account of the revised estimate of long-term net immigration for 2007.”

“The Statistics Authority hopes that in the political debate over the coming weeks all parties will be careful in their use of statistics, to protect the integrity of official statistics,” he concluded.

Never mind Gordon the truth of being defeated at the coming General Election will surely show you that the British Public don’t like being taken for fools. How many more times are you going to lie to us over the coming weeks in the vain hope you will be re-elected.

Labour Lies – Brown’s Hypocrisy on Immigration.

As usual Gordon Brown reveals his stunning hypocrisy within  seconds of saying we need a “fair” immigration system.

As the BBC says first of all:

Gordon Brown is to urge all parties to show a “united front” against those opposing immigration out of prejudice.

In a speech in London, the PM will say it is right for politicians to talk about the issue and address people’s concerns about immigration levels.

But almost immediately he says

debate must be measured and talk that immigration is “out of control” plays into extremists’ hands.

So as usual Gordon is trying to make sure all we do is talk about Immigration from his point of view rather than having a frank and open discussion.

Trying to keep a lid on the fact that Immigration is one of the top two concerns for the British people will only cause the pressure to boil over and cause more problems than we already have.

This is just so typical of Brown’s meddling interference. He needs to learn that all of the people have to be allowed to have their say before we can sort out this type of issue. You may not agree with all that is said but in a free society we need to argue the case rather than repress the arguments.

BBC News – Brown to focus on ‘fair’ immigration system in speech.

Labour Lies – Martin Linton and Gerald Kaufman say Israel’s tentacles will steal the election

As usual you can expect the lies to come from the Labour Party as Martin Linton the Labour MP for Battersea had the following to say:

Martin Linton, chair of Labour Friends of Palestine, told a meeting at the House of Commons held by the Palestine Solidarity

Campaign and Friends of al-Aqsa:

“There are long tentacles of Israel in this country who are funding election campaigns and putting money into the British political system for their own ends.

“You must consider over the next few weeks, when you make decisions about how you vote and how you advise constituents to vote, you must make them aware of the attempt by Israelis and by pro-Israelis to influence the election.”

His fellow Labour MP Gerald Kaufman had this to say:

The veteran Jewish anti-Zionist MP Sir Gerald Kaufman suggested wealthy members of the community would play a role similar to that of Tory “non-dom” peer Michael Ashcroft.

Just as Lord Ashcroft owns most of the Conservative Party, right-wing Jewish millionaires own the rest,” .

Labour Liar Exposed – Kevan Jones apologises to Joanna Lumley for Lying

As I said two days ago Kevan Jones is a disgusting lying Minister  and his lies about Joanna Lumley and the charity Justice for Gurkhas have now been exposed.

As usual from this lying, corrupt government his apology was at best mealy-mouthed and at worst a bad-tempered rant.  What more do we expect from this dishonest bunch of crooks.

And as usual the apology had to be forced from this government before they were exposed as utterly dishonest before the whole country. People from abroad must be wincing when they see the likes of Kevan Jones as part of our government.

The Telegraph has this:

Kevan Jones, the defence minister, has apologised ”unreservedly for any offence caused” when he criticised Joanna Lumley over her campaign for the Gurkhas.

He then went onto lie that his only concern had been to stop middle-men ”ripping off vulnerable ex-Gurkhas” trying to move to Britain.

Speaking after his apology, Ms Lumley rounded on Mr Jones and accused him of smearing her.

The Telegraph reports:

“We have come here with a sense of regret that we have had to come to this, which is really to clear our names in public,” she said at a news conference in London.

She said that over the past month or so, articles have appeared “which must have put doubts in the hearts of” supporters of the Gurkhas campaign.

She went on: “Today we want to call on the Prime Minister to confirm that the policy is one that he completely supports, that the Ministry of Defence is behind everything they said they would be behind.

“I want to say to the people of this country, what you did was to back a just cause and we have not stopped working solidly for the Gurkhas in the quiet, as we promised the Prime Minister we would.

“It has been suggested that I somehow was parachuted in, took the headlines and ran. I feel that is a smear.

“It has been suggested that I somehow spread falsehoods amongst the Gurkha communities both here and in Nepal about what they could expect. That is a lie and therefore a smear. The people who made those accusations must know them to be untrue.”

Peter Carroll, of the Gurkha Justice Campaign, said that since their victory in winning settlement rights last year, there had been

a steady drip of negativity – almost like a dripping toxin – being put into this story by what we presume to be vested interests at the MoD“.

Peter, it’s not vested interests it is just a government who can’t stand being shown up in public as being a lying, twisted, bullying hater of the Armed Forces, It’s bullying leader being the suspect in chief for this type of action as it has the mark of his typical sneaky way of dealing with people who have shown him up  or bested him . The issue is that now he is dealing with real peoples lives rather than bullying his comrades in the Labour Party. The man and his lackeys have no business being in government.
